Disbelief

from Soothsayer by Charles Dexter Ward

/

about

Tying in the Lovecraftian horror concept of not being able to tell about what you experienced or being considered crazy for it into the real world.
I've not personally been a victim of any of these circumstances.

lyrics

If I told you my mind traveled time would you believe me?
If I told you of eldrige horrors would you believe me?
If I told you that I've seen demons would you believe me?

Of course not
I must be crazy
You didn't see it
It can't be true

If I told you loved ones beat me would you believe me?
If I told you I was molested would you believe me?
If I told you I had been raped would you believe me?

Don't you believe me?
No, I'm not crazy
you didn't see it
but it's true

You don't believe me
could I be crazy?
you didn't see it
was it true?

of course not...
I must be crazy...
you didn't see it...
it can't be true...
